Celebrating a Life of Glamour, Love, and Adventure.

Irene Helen Hadfield (Riedel), a glamorous vision of beauty and a true lover of life, passed away on Nov. 11, 2025, at the remarkable age of 99.5 in her home. Born April 21, 1926, in Osceola, Wisconsin, she was the beloved daughter of William F. Riedel and Helen E. Peterson.

She really lived!!

Irene embraced every day with spunk and class! Her radiant personality and sense of adventure made her unforgettable to everyone she met. She was a lover of music, dance and travel, always eager to explore new destinations and experience the richness the world had to offer. Lately, she enjoyed rides around beautiful Douglas County in her friend’s classic cars. Known for her impeccable sense of style and grace, Irene was truly classy and never failed to leave a lasting impression. She was a dedicated shopper, always finding joy in discovering the perfect outfit, shoes (walking many miles to find just the right ones), jewelry and treasures. Ice cream with extra nuts was a must on these outings.

Irene was a loving mother to her daughter Lynn Williams, son Alan Williams (deceased) and his wife Karin. Throughout her life, Irene was blessed with many love interests and a variety of friends from all walks of life, each drawn to her warmth, positivity and lively spirit.

Irene pursued several careers in California, ranging from the LA racetrack to work with the Southern California Gas Company, among other roles. Her varied professional experiences reflected her versatility and adventurous nature. Once in Roseburg, she was a natural for fun modeling events.

A private celebration of Irene will be held in Roseburg in the Spring. She will be laid to rest with Clark H. in the VA cemetery. She is missed!
