Irene A. Jamrog

HOLYOKE: Irene Anna Jamrog, 93, of Holyoke passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Holyoke Health Care Center. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late William and Anna (Zaychowski) Jamrog and was educated in Holyoke Schools. Irene worked for Springfield Photo Mount in Holyoke for forty five years, retiring in 1986. She was a communicant of Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke. Irene was the Secretary of the Prospect Heights Association, an avid bingo player and loved to knit and crochet. Besides her parents, Irene was predeceased by her brother, Joseph E. Jamrog and his wife Edna and a niece, Geraldine Marsh. She is survived by her nephew, Joseph W. Jamrog and his wife Gwenn of Southampton, three great nieces; Susan Marsh, Karen Marsh-Beedy and Erica Schouten; a great nephew, Jonathan Jamrog and several great great-nieces and nephews. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
