Irene May Jansen

Irene May Jansen, 90, of Mendota, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 16, 1928 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of the late William (Myrtle) Almy. Irene enjoyed finishing jigsaw puzzles, fishing, painting and crocheting. She also took pleasure in playing dice, bingo and bean bags (corn hole game). Survivors include her son, Melvin Charles Jansen; her daughters, Georgan Jansen, Margaret May "Peggy" Jansen and Betty (Emil) Bubolz and her grandson, William Dale Aldridge. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, George Alfred Jansen and a brother, Jim Almy. Visitation will be held on February 17, 2019 from 1-5 P.M. at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60506. Private interment will be at River Hills Memorial Park.
