Irene G. Mendoza, 81, of San Antonio, Texas, was born on September 22, 1944, and passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, in Estes Park, Colorado. Irene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Frank Mendoza, as well as her sons, Rudy Mendoza and David Mendoza. She is survived by her children, Tereso Mendoza, Nancy Terrazas, Betty Mendoza, and Frank Mendoza III. Irene leaves behind 17 grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory. Known for her joyous spirit, Irene found true happiness when surrounded by her family, creating warm gatherings filled with love. She took pride in cooking for her husband and loved ones, watching her novelas in the evenings, scratching lottery tickets, and taking trips to the casino. Irene's legacy of love, laughter, and unity will live on through her family and all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Delgado Funeral Home, with 3:00-4:00 p.m. being for immediate family. There will be a brief viewing on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., followed by a church service at 10:00 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, and burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
