Irene Rutka

Irene Rutka, 97, of Lower Burrell, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot. She was born in New Kensington on June 20, 1926, to the late Anthony and Ursula Vasiliausks Muroski and lived in Creighton until moving to Lower Burrell in 1970. Mrs. Rutka was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church in Lower Burrell. She enjoyed bowling, camping, and playing cards. She is survived by her two sons, Fred D. Rutka of Lower Burrell, and Robert (Melissa) Rutka of Buffalo Twp., and numerous other loving relatives. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roman 'Rudy' Frederick Rutka; brother, Anthony Muroski; and sisters, Lilian Muroski, Helen Glowdoski, and Mary Mojak.
