Irene Short Obituary

Irene �Bobbie� Short, 65, of Oak Grove Subdivision, Oceana, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008, following a short illness. Born April 30, 1943 at Pineville, she was the daughter of the late Heber and Grace Foster Short. Mrs. Short attended the Brenton Baptist Church. She liked working with flowers, going to flea markets, playing bingo and being at home with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald �Moe� Coffey; a brother, Heber Short, Jr.; two sisters, Romelee Justus and Margaret Justus. Survivors include two daughters, Ronda Goode and her husband, Tommy of Wyoming and Helen Marie Short of Baileysville; two sons, Bobby Lee Coffey and his wife, Sharon of Oceana and James Heber �Poe� Coffey and his companion, Lenore of Tazewell VA; her fianc�, Ronny J. Short of Fanrock; close friends, Jean and Bob Adams of Fanrock; three sisters, Hebera Curry of Wyoming, Nicole Short of Pineville and Flora Short of Rural Retreat, VA; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
