Irene Albertine Roy Therrien, 88, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Bountiful, Utah.
Irene was born on October 10, 1937, in Hudson, New Hampshire, to Joseph P. Roy and Marie Alice (Consigny) Roy. She was a lifelong resident of Nashua, New Hampshire, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, and community. After a lengthy illness, she moved to Utah in 2023 to be closer to family.
Irene was married to her beloved husband, Wilfred Therrien, for 47 years. Together they built a loving home and shared many cherished memories until his passing. Irene will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity, as well as for the delicious cakes she lovingly baked for family and friends. She also enjoyed genealogy and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Jeff) Tucker; her grandchildren, Kevin (Natalie) Tucker, Jessica (Spencer) Denos, Beth Therrien, Nicole Therrien, and Matthew Therrien; and her great-grandchild, Alistair. She is also survived by her siblings, Elizabeth and Leonard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred; her son, Mark; her grandson, Dustin; and her siblings, Joseph, Marie, Gloria, Richard, and Ronald.
At Irene’s request, no formal services will be held. She will be inurned at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Nashua, New Hampshire, with her husband, Wilfred, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Nashua in her memory.
Irene will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
