Irene Yonker Obituary
Irene was born on February 18, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late John and Pauline (Tkac) Vasko. On October 6, 1962, she married Robert Allen in Ravenna. Robert survives.
She graduated from James A. Garfield High School and went on to work as a nursing assistant at Brenfield Nursing Home, where she dedicated more than 20 years caring for others.
Irene enjoyed sewing, shopping, and camping and traveling with her husband, Robert. She also had a special love for her cats. Above all, Irene cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Leah A. Knight and Theresa Call; grandchildren, Kendra, Adam, and Heather; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Audrey, Ellianna, Kennedy, Kaci, Cylas, and Benjamin; and a sister, Alice Brandt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Vasko; her son, Michael Yonker; and two sisters, Kay Fifer and Rosemary Lansky.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
