Iris Burgin Obituary
Ms. Burgin is survived by her daughter, Vickie Burgin Taylor. Mawmaw Iris as she was called is also survived by her grandchildren Steve Stroupe (Wendi), Chad Stroupe, Leslie Ward (Michael) and Justin Taylor. Her sisters Billie Hooper and Sharon Quinn (Bob), and her brother Rudy Sherrill (Prissy), she is also survived by her great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service to celebrate the life of Ms. Burgin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 21, 2026 at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Church Sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Carolina Caring Hospice.
