Iris Faye Duke was born on May 6, 1936, in Summerdale, AL and passed away on September 13, 2024, in Lakeland, FL. Iris was a homemaker most of her life. She owned a clothing business in Winter Haven for several years and worked for American Greeting Cards. Iris moved to Winter Haven, Fl at a very young age. Her father, Alvin Malone worked for Coke and her mother, Mattie Lee Malone was a citrus fruit grader. Iris is survived by her daughter, Debra Faye Ambrose; three grandchildren, Iris M Hawks, Rachel Payne and Traviss Payne; two stepsons, Kenneth and Michael Duke; sister, Juanita Mizell and 1 nephew, Talmadge Strickland (Diane).
Celebration of Iris' life will be on October 11, 2024, at 6pm at Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel, 2090 East Edgewood Drive, Lakeland, Fl 33803
