Iris Louise (Trokey) McGee of Potosi was born November 8, 1959 in Mineral Point, a daughter to the late Cecelia Trokey and Perry Vincent Trokey. Iris departed this life July 1, 2024 having reached the age of 64.
Iris was united in marriage to Robert “Bobby” McGee on December 10, 1982 and together they shared over 40 years together.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband: Robert "Bobby" McGee; sister, Barbara Sellers and husband Terry of Bismarck; brothers, Vincent Trokey and wife Mary of Mineral Point, Donald Trokey and wife Vanessa, of Farmington, Stanley Trokey and wife Vanessa of Cadet. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth Vuichard, Brenda DeClue, Marilyn Trokey, Mary Agnus Trokey and brother, Perry James Trokey.
Iris had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She faced many trials in life but her positive spirit kept her going. She will always be remembered for the love and compassion she showed to all she met. Her memory will always be cherished by those who loved her.
