It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Iris Nunez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, who left us peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the age of 61. Born on September 7, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York, Iris was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her.
Iris was known for her unbreakable faith and unwavering love. Her spirit was a beacon of hope, inspiring everyone around her to embrace life with joy and gratitude. She had an extraordinary ability to uplift those in need, offering a listening ear, a warm hug, and words of encouragement that resonated deeply.
Throughout her life, Iris exemplified kindness and compassion, always putting others before herself. Whether through her faith, her dedication to her family, or her friendships, she taught us the true meaning of love and selflessness. Her laughter was infectious, her smile could light up the darkest of days, and her faith was a source of strength for many.
Iris is survived by her loving children, Mark Anthony, his wife Samantha, Blaise Haven, his spouse Josh and Alan Kris, her cherished grandchildren, Liam and Elijah, her dear siblings, Bernie & Wilfredo; her devoted sister-in-law's Lisa & Gina, her dearest nieces, nephews and cousins. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, reflecting the values and love she instilled in them.
A celebration of Iris' s life will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 3 - 8 PM at Village Chapels. We invite all who knew her to join us in honoring her memory and sharing stories that bring her spirit to life.
Though Iris may no longer be with us in body, her love, faith, and inspirational spirit will forever remain in our hearts. She was a true example of grace and strength, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the honor to meet her.
