Iris Velazquez

Iris Velazquez, 67, of Cherry Valley, MA passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved mother of Mitchel Archeval, Joshua Archeval, Angel Archeval, Kesia Archeval, and Nakia Reyes and her husband Roberto; Loving grandmother of Abimael Archeval(deceased), Joshua Archeval, Jerome Archeval, Angelyk Archeval, Nathaniel Archeval, Gabriel Archeval, Jeramias Archeval, Giovante Swenson, Miguel Swenson, Katiana Swenson, Xavier Swenson, great grandson, Jyzaiah Archeval; cherished sister of Catalina Chaput, predeceased parents Margot Torres and Pedro Juan Archeval.
Iris was known for her love of all things Coca-Cola and amassed a sizable collection of branded memorabilia and clothing over the years. She also enjoyed the challenge of a good crossword or jigsaw puzzle and the energy and joy she got from listening to salsa music. Iris loved all animals, but most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
Friends may call on the family on Thursday, October 6 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 6:00 pm.
