Irma Lee Shonkwiler, age 84 of Temple, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Born in Boulder, Colorado, on January 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Duran and the late Emma Zamora Duran. In addition to her parents, Irma is preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie Leshay Shonkwiler, her sisters, Martha, Josie and Emma, and her brother George.

A beautiful lady inside and out, Irma took care of her family and was the consummate "stay at home mom."

Left to cherish her memories are her children and their spouses, Sandra Lynn Shonkwiler Norris, Erika Lee Harvey and husband Vince, Glen Wesley Shonkwiler and his wife Kara and Brian Jay Shonkwiler and his wife Lumila; her companion, David Clark; and her brother, Sam. Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: Amanda Lee Shonkwiler-Webb and her husband Wes, Rhett Wesley Norris and his wife Katie, Anna Maria Shonkwiler and Olivia Elizabeth Shonkwiler; and her great-grandchildren: Atlas Drake Shonkwiler-Webb, Tarys Shonkwiler-Webb, and Ellis Shonkwiler-Webb.

In keeping with the family's wishes, Irma was cremated. The family is hosting a celebration of her life on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
