STARK – Irving H. Boudle, 84, of North Side Road, died Sunday morning, December 31, 2023 at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, after a recent illness.
Irving was born in Lancaster, NH on May 30, 1939, the son of Howard and Madeline (Bourassa) Boudle. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Veronica (Parks) Boudle; his three children, Greg Boudle (Kristen), Laurie Benoit (Andre), and Steven Boudle (Lisa). He was the oldest of 10 children and is survived by brothers Ernest Boudle, Rodney Boudle, Alfred Boudle, Aubrey Boudle; a sister Lorraine Virge; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert Boudle, Errol Boudle; and two sisters, Laura McKenzie and Linda Way.
For 10 years Irving worked at Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut and returned home to work as a millwright supervisor for Wausau Paper Company in Groveton. He was employed there for 29 years before his retirement.
Irving was a dedicated 50-year member Master Mason with the North Star Lodge #8, Lancaster and the 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite. As a Mason he was instrumental in starting the Paul Caron Scholarship for Groveton and Stratford students and organized fundraisers and yard sales to fund it. He was also a past member of the Moose Club of Groveton and organized the annual Moose Fishing Derby. In Stark, he helped build the offroad trails for ATV's and OHRV's. Irving was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He also loved animals, particularly his horses and goats.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 11:00AM in the Emerson Cemetery, Emerson Road, Stark. Reverend Timothy Brooks, pastor of St. Pauls Church, Lancaster, will officiate. A Masonic service will also be held at that time.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Irving's memory to Riverside Animal Rescue, 236 Riverside Ave., Gilman, VT 05906 or the Paul Caron Scholarship, North Star Lodge, %Tom Ladd, 138 Gould Rd., Whitefield, NH 03598.
