Isabel Hernandez, 88, of Plainview passed away on August 12, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with father George Poonley officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A rosary will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
She was born on November 3, 1935, in San Benito, TX, to Pioquinto Ledesma and Juanita Alaniz. Isabel grew up in Plainview and married Teodoro Hernandez on September 1, 1959 who preceded her in death on January 17, 2014. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and home, finding joy in cooking, shopping, sewing, and watching Spanish soap operas. She was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Isabel found solace in her faith and community.
She is survived by her daughters; Gloria Guerra of Plainview, Brenda DeLaCruz of Plainview, sons; Juan Hernandez of Plainview, Jesse Hernandez of Plainview, and Michael Hernandez of Plainview, sister; Jesusa Garza of Lockney, twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and two loving great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Pioquinto and Juanita Ledesma, husband; Teodoro Hernandez, daughter; Linda Nunez, brother; Gavino Ledesma, sisters; Esperanza Flores, Margarita Ledesma, Anita Ledesma, Aurora Ledesma, and Victoria Ledesma.
