Isabel Martinez Obituary Isabel Isa Martinez died peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022 in Houston, TX. The eldest of two children, he was born on a hot July day in 1940 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Oralia Camarillo and Anastacio Martinez. In August 1965, he married the love of his life, Guillermina Galvan and soon after started a family. He became a resident of Houston, Texas in 1990. Those of us who loved him, and ache with his passing, knew him by the titles he held: Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandpa, Friend, or as he was often referred to, Isa.Isabel was preceded in death by his parents, Oralia Camarillo and Anastacio Martinez; his son Guillermo Martinez. He is survived by his wife, Guillermia Martinez, his four children, Isabel Macias, Julio Martinez, Pedro Martinez, and Jesus Martinez and his brother, Andres Martinez. He has seven grandchildren (Daniel III, Daniela, Matthew, Priscilla, Guillermo, Gabriel, and Isaiah) and four great grandchildren (Dario, Adan, Ulisses, and Teodoro). He will be missed by all his family and numerous friends. He was a quiet man, a man of not so many words. He was stealth like and when he walked in a room, you felt his presence. He got up every day, worked hard, always put family first, and never complained. For those who loved him, it is still hard to accept that he is no longer here. True, it is not known how long we have on this earth. There is no way we can foresee the trials or misfortunes that will test us along the way. We do not know God's plan for our lives, but Isabel knew God had him in his hands. He prayed daily, with his beloved wife, and prayed not just for himself, but for all of his family. His love will be our light to help guide us in this world and we should pray and hope to be reunited with him one day in heaven.Tu memoria quedar inscrita para siempre en nuestros corazones. Que Dios te bendiga y que descanses en paz eterna. There will be a visitation on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at East Haven Funeral Home in South Houston, TX 77587.In lieu of flowers the family has created a GoFundMe page for Isabels Memorial Fund.
