Isabel Palacios Obituary

Mrs. Isabel Palacios, 99, entered into her eternal rest after a beautiful journey on this earth, on June 6, 2025. She was soon to complete a century on this earth, but the time spent with all her beloved family as the matriarch of the family will forever be remembered by those whose life she touched. Isabel was born on June 17, 1925 in Hebrronville, Texas, the daughter of the late Cleofas and Paula Ramirez. Together with her husband, she was the business acumen in the family business, Los Jacales Restaurant on Guadalupe St., a business that still flourishes today. Isabel was a woman of great faith that instilled the love of family and community to her descendants.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Imeldo Cayetano Palacios Sr.; her sons, Antonio Imeldo Palacios and Roberto Palacios; her parents Cleofas and Paula Ramirez; siblings: Agustin Ramirez, Jovita Ramirez, Alfonso Ramirez, Francisco Ramirez, Micaela Ramirez, Rodolfo Ramirez, Jesus Ramirez, Maria Ramirez, Jose Ramirez; son's in law: Humberto Rodriguez, Manuel Ramon Zuniga.
Isabel is survived by her loving children: Imeldo Cayetano Palacios Jr. (Margarita), Josie Piña (Humberto Sr.), Yolanda Zuniga, Jacqueline Rodriguez, Olga Santos, David Palacios (Irma), Samuel Palacios, Eduardo Palacios; 39 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, with a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary being offered by Rev. Deacon Mr. Rogelio Martinez Jr. at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, departing the funeral chapel at 8:30 am to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am by Rev. Wojciech Przysztasz.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Palacios was a dear friend of my mother Amalia Martinez Saenz from Hebbronville. She would often talk about her friend Isabel. Although my mother passed away 11 years ago, I'm sure they are now together in God's Heavenly Kingdom. My sympathy to Mrs. Palacios' surviving family but we should also rejoice in her birth into eternal life. I hope to be attending her Funeral Mass.
