Isabelle L. Johns

On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, Isabelle L. Johns, loving wife and wonderful mother of two sons, went to be with her Lord at the age of 80.
Isabelle was born on November 27, 1941 in Weirton, WV to Paul and Margaret (Joussand) Fages and was a graduate of Follensbee High School. On July 24, 1965, she married J. David Johns. They raised two sons, Scott and Mark.
A registered nurse, Isabelle worked at the Fairfield Medical Center for well over 30 years, retiring as an administrator. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #301, as well as an active participant with the Cedar Heights Elementary PTO and a Cub Scout Den Mother. A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and later Lutheran Church of Our Savior, she spent much of her free time through the years watching her two sons play their sports, and then taking every possible opportunity to watch her four grandchildren in their many activities. Isabelle had a core group of friends who made up "The Craft Club", and although they seemed to produce few crafts, they certainly produced a lifetime of laughs.
Isabelle was preceded in death by her father, Paul, mother, Margaret, and brother-in-law Warren Yingst. She is survived by her husband David, son Scott and his wife Tina, son Mark and his wife Natalie, two grandsons, Trent and Ben, two granddaughters, Audra and Emily, sister Norma Yingst, nephew David and niece Diane.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Diane Gugel officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Millersport Order of Eastern Star Chapter #301 will have a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and the Appalachian Ohio Nurse Honor Guard will have a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday also.
