On September 27, 2023, Isabelle C. Williams peacefully passed away at her daughter’s home where she had lived for the past six years. Her loving family was by her side. She lived a full and beautiful life to the age of 93.
Mrs. Williams was born on February 14, 1930 in Dover, DE to the late Watson and Lillian Cook.
She was married to Lawrence D. Williams on August 20, 1948.
“Mom Mom” as she was then known to those close to her, was the owner and operator of Buttons and Bows Daycare and later the Williams Family Daycare.
She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Williams enjoyed collecting Lizzie High Dolls, listening to Luke Bryan, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and Gardening. Her greatest joy in life was raising children, not just hers, but everyone’s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence D. Williams, her son, Lawrence A. Williams, her grandsons, Keith Alan Williams and Franklin David Williams, and her sister Allene Strassle.
Mom Mom is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Tidwell, Sandy Soucek (Frank), and Kim Hall (Dennis), her grandchildren, Shawn Tidwell (Katie), Courtney L. Brittingham, Elizabeth “Bliss” Soucek, and Craig Hall (Katherine), and her great grandchildren, Lane Tidwell, Harley Tidwell, Ariana L. Knowles, and Gavin Mohr.
A Memorial Service will be held at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, on Tuesday 10/3 at 11AM. Friends may gather starting at 10AM.
