Darrion Daitione Beecham was born on May 12, 1990, at Crozer Hospital in
Chester, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Claymont, Delaware, where his light first shined brightly and where he left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him. He was the second-born of four children to Benniea Reavely and Derrick Beecham.
From the very beginning, Darrion was special. Fearless even as a baby, he kept everyone on their toes-you always had to watch him because you never knew what adventure he might find next. He possessed a natural gift for making people laugh and bringing joy into any space. An entertainer from early on, Darrion's laughter, humor, and presence made every moment brighter.
During his early childhood, Darrion lived with his grandmother alongside his female cousins, where he was nurtured in love and encouraged to express himself freely and authentically. Growing up in Claymont, he loved the outdoors-exploring, running through creeks with friends, and playing sports gave him a sense of joy and freedom. He played football, basketball, and baseball, including football with the Claymont Falcons. Even outside of organized sports, he could often be found playing football in the backyard with friends. His kind heart and sense of humor made him a magnet for others, and he formed many meaningful friendships.
The most important relationships in Darrion's life were with his family. He and his older brother Derrick were inseparable, doing everything together. Alongside their younger sisters, they shared countless moments filled with laughter, teasing, and love. Like all siblings, they argued-but they loved harder. Darrion was their protector, always standing strong for those he loved.
Darrion treasured being a father. He loved his daughter more than anything in this world she could do no wrong in his eyes their relationship and bond was unbreakable.
Darrion attended Claymont Elementary School, Talley Middle School, and William Penn High School. He later worked for Sharon Hill Insulation. He was also a devoted pet lover who could never live without a dog. No matter where the family moved, Darrion always brought a dog home. Most recently, he shared a deep bond with Stormie, caring for her tenderly-changing her diapers, loving on her, and providing comfort even when others were away.
Handsome, heroic, loyal, and deeply protective, Darrion embodied strength and love. His presence brought safety, warmth, and reassurance to those around him. He was a radiant soul-a guiding light-whose flame continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
Darrion was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Beecham; paternal grandfather, Charles Toler; maternal grandmother, Lenora T. Reavely; his aunt, Shelby Reavely; and his cousins, Desmond Reavely and Kymeen Bennett; Though separated from us by time, they were never separated in spirit, Darrion walked through the gates of Heaven with his Aunt, Lisa Carla Reavely, hand in hand reunited in eternity.
He is survived by his mother, Benniea Reavely; his father, Derrick Beecham; his paternal grandfather Bennie Walker; beloved daughter, Riley Beecham; his brother, Derrick Beecham; his sisters, Indiay Beecham and Ahquarah Beecham; his brother in law, Hakeem Irving; his nephews, Amir Beecham and Dakari Irving; his nieces, Aaron Jaindl and Ocean Jaindl; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him deeply and cherish his memory always.
