In loving memory, we announce the passing of Isaia Jeremiah Rian Atencio, who was born on December 13, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Isaia, a beloved son and cherished little brother, graced our lives with his joy and laughter until his untimely departure on May 25, 2025, at the tender age of 1 year and 5 months.
Isaia was the precious son of Isaiah Jeremiah Atencio and Reba Mary Sepulveda. He brought immense joy to his family, lighting up every room with his infectious laughter and adventurous spirit. Isaia was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ramon Atencio, whose love and guidance will forever be missed.
Isaia is survived by his loving family, including his sisters, Isabella Stokely, and Riley and Sofia Jimenez, who were his partners in many playful adventures; his grandmothers, Beverly Hardy and Marina Atencio, who adored him; and his uncles, Ramon Atencio, Joziah Atencio, and Carlos Paniagua, who cherished every moment spent with him.
In his short but vibrant life, Isaia was known for his curious and brave nature. He had a delightful sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. Whether he was playing outside, giving fist bumps, or sharing love and kisses, Isaia's spirit was an embodiment of joy. His playtime was filled with monster trucks and dinosaurs, shooting hoops with dad, and he loved going on adventures with mom and dad. He had a special bond with his grandma Marina, dancing together and creating cherished memories. Driving with his dad, playing with his sisters, and cuddling while watching movies were moments that defined his early years.
Isaia's stubborn yet funny personality was a testament to the lively spirit within him. The memories of his playful antics and charming personality will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we gather together to celebrate Isaia's life, we are reminded of the words from Isaiah 40:28-31 and Mark 10:13-16, which reflect the innocence and love that children bring into our lives. A private viewing and visitation will be held for family and close friends to honor and remember our sweet Isaia on Monday June 9th, 2025 at 11:00am at French-LOMAS . You are encouraged and come and share stories about sweet Isaia. Mass will be the following day Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 at 9:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church 562 Atrisco Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM. Family will begin receiving condolences at 8:00am and a rosary will be recited at 8:30am.
Though his time with us was brief, Isaia Jeremiah Rian Atencio leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the reminders of how precious life truly is. We will forever hold him in our hearts as we navigate life without his bright smile and adventurous spirit. Rest in peace, dear Isaia. You will always be loved and missed. Dada and mama love you always.
