Obituary of Isaish Boynton
Isaiah "Ike" Boynton, 77, of Pennsauken Township, NJ, passed away on January 02, 2026, after a chronic battle with vascular disease.
Isaiah was born on May 11, 1948, to Ernestine and Bernice Boynton in
Allendale, South Carolina. After graduating from Asbury Park HS in 1967 as an exceptional student & athlete, he went on to study computer technology at a local technical college. He got married to the lovely Karen Darlene McNish. They had 3 darling girls (Kim, Tammy, & Sandee). Isaiah's charming, skillful, and confident sales character traits led him to obtaining top sales at Becks Shoe Store in
Asbury Park, NJ. In addition, his ability to master customer relationships, deliver value and drive revenue growth led Isaiah to sustain success in the sales industry. His strong work ethic, and his drive for success landed him several opportunities working as a sales representative for 3 national shoe retail distributors. Isaiah was a "master salesmen" and built strong networks and rapport by being reliable, authentic, and genuinely passionate about the products he sold whether it was shoes, furniture, or the love he had in his heart. He looked at customer relationships as long-term investments, rather than short-term wins, which led to repeat sales, awards, and continued professional growth during his working years. He retired at 70 years old and invested all of his time "loving on his wife and family". His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He called them "the loves of his life" which he often mentioned to each one of them. He often used the phrase "I appreciate you" which warmed hearts of those he encountered. Moreover, Isaiah was a lover of jazz music. He appreciated improvisation, complex rhythms, and rich harmonies, characterized by soulful blues music and instrumental genres. Some examples of his include figures like Louis Armstrong, Sarah Vaughan, John Coltrane Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, and more. He would spend most of his time basking in the sun on his bench outside on his deck or porch enjoying his music as if he was at a "live" concert. Anyone who knew "Ike" knew that he was the most "loving and caring" husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, & friend. He also valued his neighbors and friends within the community. His love for life and his smile will always resonate deeply with all those who encountered him, which in turn brought us all peace and joy. You will be missed..., "Love of Our Lives".
Isaiah was preceded in death by his parents: Ernestine & Bernice Boynton; brothers David Brandt, Levi Boynton, & Larry D. Boynton, and his darling daughter Kimberly R. Boynton, who passed away in 2023. He is survived by his siblings Ernie Boynton, Peggy D. Boynton-Jones, & Anthony (Jack) Boynton.
