Ishmael Douglas Moorefield

Mr. Ishmael Douglas Moorefield, age 52, of Pilot Mountain, passed away at his residence on Tuesday evening, June 24, 2025. Mr. Moorefield was born on January 15, 1973, in Forsyth County to Alice Dalton Moorefield and the late Douglas Gray Moorefield. He was a loving husband, son, father, and friend, he’ll be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mr. Moorefield was an avid outdoorsman, whether he was fishing, hunting, or even camping. Left to cherish Mr. Moorefield’s memory is his mother, Alice Moorefield; daughter, Hazel Moorefield; sister, Rebecca Inman; nephews, Daniel Moorefield, Timothy Lunford, Joshua Davis; aunts, Barbara Ruppard and Larry, Irene Gosnell; uncles, William Dalton and Brenda, Mitchell Dalton. In addition to his father, Mr. Moorefield was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joy Lynn Moorefield. Per Mr. Moorefield’s request, there will not be any formal services held at this time. A private burial will be held at a later date where he will be laid to rest by his wife. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Moorefield family.
