Isidro Sanchez Rodriguez, went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2024.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. The funeral service will be on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel.
Isidro was born in Clarendon, Texas to Enrique and Felipa Rodriguez on May 18, 1967. He attended school in Dimmit and later moved with his parents to Big Spring where he finished high school. After completing high school he moved to Amarillo and attended TSTI, where he studied welding and machining. While attending TSTI, he worked part time for Budget Rent-A-Car. After completing his training at TSTI, he started his career with Amarillo Gear, where he worked for thirty-three years. On September 27, 1986 he married his best friend, Tawnya Mullican in Amarillo.
Isidro loved to hunt, golf, ride his Harley, and watch his beloved 49ers. He loved his family and friends, cherishing the time spent together. He was particularly fond of his grandchildren and attended all their sporting events both near and far.
Never one to meet a stranger or back down from a challenge, Isidro would always greet everyone with “hello, how are you?” because he genuinely wanted to know how you were. He will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary, and a brother, Richard.
Isidro is survived by his wife, Tawnya; his son, Colby; three sisters, Janie, Linda, and Velen; two brothers, Enrique Jr. and Randy; his father-in-law, Tommy Mullican; a brother-in-law, Darren; three grandchildren, Bryson, Cale, and Laken; his aunts, Lillie and Sharon; several cousins; many nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
