With a heartfelt sincerity, we pay tribute to the life and legacy of Ismael Martinez, III, lovingly known as Smilie. Born on August 25, 1978, in Corpus Christi, Texas, his radiant smile became a beacon of warmth and affection that touched the lives of many. His life was a beautiful tapestry of treasured moments, imperishable memories, and undeniable impact, woven with the threads of love, resilience, and compassion. Ismael was a man of great strength, an entrepreneur who built a successful business from the ground up. His industrious spirit and unwavering dedication to his work were an inspiration to many, symbolizing his belief in the power of hard work and determination.
Ismael was preceded in death by his sister Sylvianna Martinez
Smilie's life was a testament to his love for his family. He is survived by his common-law wife, Lisa Prieto, his parents Ismael and Sylvia Martinez, Jr., and a host of beloved children, Johna Garcia, Roxy Martinez, Ismael IV, Isa Martinez, Svetlena Martinez, Lasyenika Garcia, Andre Garcia, Abcde Martinez, Jasalin Garza, and Alex Prieto. His legacy will continue to thrive in his grandchildren, Porfinio Garcia, Ariellas Garcia, Liliana Garcia, and Tobias Martinez, and his sisters Claudia and Rosanna Martinez.
A visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm with a rosary to be held at 7:00pm at the same location.
As we celebrate the life of Smilie, we invite you to leave your memories, share your stories, and upload photos to the memorial page. His life was a beautiful journey, let us remember him for the love he shared, the joy he spread, and the life he lived.
