Isom L. Cooper

Isom L. Cooper, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, in Bruceton Mills, WV. Born to Merelyn J. and Elwood Cooper on July 22, 1963, in Wilmington, DE. Isom was a man of exceptional talent and warmth, whose life was marked by the love he had for his family.

Throughout his life, Isom was known for his loving nature, his handy skills, and his thoughtful approach to life. He had a way of making everyone around him feel valued and important. Isom's infectious laugh and generous spirit was a beacon of light to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Merelyn J. and Elwood Cooper, his brother Gregory Fuller and his grandchildren Genesis and Iris. He is survived by his beloved children, Isis (George) Colllins, Isom Anderson and Teri Anderson. Grand-children Brendan and Gianna, who will miss him dearly. His siblings Carl (Mary Ann) Fuller, Stephanie Fuller, Lynn Jefferson, Crystal Cooper, Merelyn L. Cooper, and Edward Hopkins.

He is also survived by his beloved aunt Faye, who held a special place in his heart. Isom will also be remembered by his nieces, nephews and a host of family members.

Isom's life was filled with purpose and his presence bought life to those around him. As we say goodbye to Isom L. Cooper, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and his memory that will live on forever in our hearts.
