IVA ATKINSON Obituary
Ms. Atkinson, 89, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Neshoba General Hospital. She lived most of her life in Neshoba County and was a member of Hope Baptist Church. She worked at WHOC radio station for 10 years and MDOT for 32 ½ years. Her hobbies were listening to Elvis and The Gaithers, watching The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Soap Operas, spending time with her family and cooking for them, and growing flowers.
Ms. Atkinson is preceded in death by her husband, Willard 'Punk" Atkinson; parents, Charlie and Nellie B. Joiner, sons, Terry and Tracy Atkinson; brothers, Terry Lee and Charles "Bo" Joiner.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Crenshaw (William); sister, Charlene Shumaker; brothers, Travis Joiner, Alvis Joiner (Ann), Wayne Joiner (Dale), Bennie Mac Joiner; sisters-in-law, Charlene Atkinson and Mildred Ryals; (6) grandchildren, Cassidy Crenshaw (Dru), Derek Crenshaw (Brooke), Katelyn Galasti (Paul), Brandon Atkinson, Tori Beckham (Cody), Tabitha Grace Atkinson; (11) great-grandchildren, Emory, Carson, Callie, Harlee, Harper and Eli Crenshaw, Eddie and Max Galasti, Micah Atkinson, Montana and Olivia Beckham.
Pallbearers are Cassidy Crenshaw, Derek Crenshaw, Paul Galasti, Brandon Atkinson, Cody Beckham, Joshua Ellsworth, Richard Joiner, Michael Joiner.
