Donald Howard "Don" Atkinson

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Howard Atkinson (KE4NLT) on February 15, 2026.He leaves behind his devoted wife Sherry Atkinson, children, Holly, (Katrina, Alicia, Roscoe, Angelina) Sara (Trinity,Skylar), Mike (Sara, Robert, Kristel, Bradley ), Scott (Scotty) and Donnie (Seth, Koby). With a total of five great grandchildren.

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we remember a truly amazing man whose laughter, kindness, and unwavering love touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He was the kind of person who could light up a room without even trying. His humor wasn't just funny-it was healing. Whether through a perfectly timed joke, a playful grin, or a story that somehow got better every time he told it, he had a rare gift: he made people feel lighter. In his presence, worries softened and smiles came easily.

But beyond his humor was a heart of gold. He cared deeply and loved fiercely. He showed up-consistently and wholeheartedly-for his family and friends. If you needed help, he was there. If you needed advice, he listened. If you needed comfort, he offered it without hesitation. He believed in lifting others up and made it his quiet mission to leave people better than he found them.

He valued the simple joys of life: time with loved ones, shared meals, inside jokes, and meaningful conversations that stretched long into the evening. His love was steady, his loyalty unmatched, and his presence a gift.

Though our hearts ache in his absence, we carry forward the lessons he taught us: to laugh often, love generously, and care deeply. His legacy lives on in the stories we tell, the traditions we keep, and the kindness we extend in his honor.

He will be profoundly missed, endlessly cherished, and forever remembered.
