Mary Viola Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care - Palm Bay on Feb. 18, 2026.
Mary Hafley Viola, age 89, of Palm Bay, FL, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 21, 1936 in Fort Lee, NJ, she was the daughter of Raymond and May Hafley. She married the love of her life, William J. Viola, and together they shared 61 years of marriage with 9 children and built a life centered on family, faith, and love.

Mary was a woman of deep faith and a devoted Catholic who lived her life guided by kindness, generosity, and compassion for others. She was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She was very charitable and always willing to help those in need, whether through quiet acts of service or thoughtful words of encouragement. Her home and her heart were always open, and her presence brought comfort to everyone around her.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for others. She was always ready with a kind word, a listening ear, and a home-cooked meal. Her kitchen was the gathering place for family celebrations, and her hugs made everything feel better.

Mary's greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for her caring nature, her patience and her strength and perseverance in everything she did.

She is survived by 8 children, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Viola, and her son, Raymond Viola.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 12:30 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
