William Viola Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Ventura on Feb. 5, 2026.
William Terrence "Terry" Viola, 71, of Ventura, CA passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

Born on October 27, 1954 and raised in Oxnard, Terry grew up the middle son to Ralph and Virginia Viola, alongside his brothers Michael and Timothy. He attended Loyola High School and graduated in 1972.

Terry attended the University of Southern California and was a devoted Trojan fan through and through. He was dedicated to the local family business and loved to host family holidays, often found behind the BBQ.

Music was at the heart of who Terry was. From vinyl records to his guitar collection, he found joy and connection through rock, often sharing favorite songs and memories with those he loved. Many will forever associate certain songs with memories of him.

Above all else, Terry was a devoted husband and father to his three grown sons, whose accomplishments were his greatest joy. He recently became a grandfather, a role that brought him immense pride.

Terry is survived by his wife, Elena Viola, three sons, Robert, Randolph and Ryan Viola, his extended family, and many dear friends who will miss his sense of humor and unmistakable zest for life.

In Lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) in his honor. A mass will be held to celebrate his life at the San Buenaventura Mission on Feb 12, 2026 at 10:30 am.

Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Ventura.
