Iva Jones Obituary
On Feb. 21, 1959, she married Robert "Dawson" Jones, and her husband of 30 years preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 1989.
For over 15 years, Iva watched young children in her home, and she fit right in being "young at heart" in how she lived every day; choosing joy and fun in everything. She also worked as a school bus driver with the Pendleton County School System and as an employee with both McDonald's and KFC in Grant County. Iva leaves wonderful memories and a lifetime of stories with all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter and caregiver Darlene S. Jones of Falmouth; three sisters: Dorothy Cooper of Bellevue, KY, Carrie Sharpe of Jacksonville, FL, and Mary Ann Walthers of Williamstown, KY; several special nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 6 siblings: Joyce Jones, James Norman Butler, Harry Butler, Fannie Elizabeth Jones, Charles Ray Butler, and William "Buddy" Butler and many dear extended family members.
Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope: 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056. Care for the family is entrusted to Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth.
