Ivan G. Adle, former Cozad resident, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Decatur, Texas at the age of 96. Ivan was born June 14, 1927 at Cozad, Nebraska to Lloyd and Lena (Gayman) Adle. He graduated from Cozad High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army. Stationed in Korea during WWII, Ivan drove an ambulance, picking up wounded soldiers. He married Anna Norden on April 15, 1949 in Cozad, Nebraska. Their union was blessed with two children, Sandra and Carl. Ivan worked at various hay mills, was a welder at Zook’s Welding and eventually owned his own business. He enjoyed welding, playing pool, and was a member of the V.F.W. for many years. Following their retirement, Ivan and Anna traveled to Mission, Texas during the winter months for many years.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; wife. Survivors include his children, Sandra Gladkoff of TX and Carl (Marcia) Adle of UT; 3 grandchildren; and several great and great great grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery.
