Ivan Marshall Obituary
He was born in Everett, Pennsylvania, on April 30, 1939, a son of the late William D. Marshall and Elsie M. Burke-Wiley.
Ivan is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; five children, Ivan M. Crockett and fiancé Dainna, Matthew I. Marshall, Michelle C. Marshall and fiancé Devon Lew, Morgan E. Marshall-Partner and husband Zach, and Myles J. Marshall; three grandchildren, Zachary, Sophia, and Elias; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families.
In addition to his parents, Ivan was preceded in passing by eight brothers, J. David, Robert "Gobey", Harvey, Fred, Kenny, Donald, Stanley, and Sandy; four sisters, Betty, Mildred, Mary, and Rosey.
After high school, Ivan worked with his dad collecting garbage. In 1969, he started Ivan Marshall's Sanitation Service, where he started with just a dump truck and worked his way up to owning a garbage truck. He served his community for over 60 years.
Ivan was an avid bowler. He made many friends and participated in several tournaments and leagues over the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching westerns especially with Clint Eastwood, listening to Prince's Purple Rain, and spending time with his family.
The family would like to send a special "thank you" to the nursing home, hospice, Leesa Keys-Waite, and Delores Myers for taking care of Ivan and helping out the past year.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM, in the Chapel at Donelson Funeral Home, with Pastor Clifford Swankler officiating.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service, at Donelson Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Everett Cemetery, Everett, PA.
