Ivan G. "Ike" Smith

Ivan G. Smith Jr., 57, of Hallstead, PA passed away after a long battle with COPD and emphysema on September 17, 2025. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Welch Brigham; his children, Daniel (Jenilyn) Smith, and Amber Smith and Eddie Hollister; four grandchildren, Brantley, Felicity, Waylon, and Ryker; siblings, William (Angie) Smith, Michael Smith, Dawn (William) Smith, Amanda (John) Golightly, Andrew (Sarah) Brigham; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his father, Ivan G. Smith Sr.; a step father, William Brigham. Ike was a hard worker in stone quarries. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, but most importantly to him was working on his car, a 1981 Chevy Malibu, and racing at Penn Can Speedway, and watching NASCAR. Ike earned the title of "Pop" in 2021 and found his new favorite pastime, spending time with his grandchildren. He was rescued from his daughter's cooking by an angel, Bobbi Jo. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to her for stepping in and supporting Ike as his health declined. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2025 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. Private inurnment will be made at a later date. Should friends so desire, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the funeral home, to assist with his final expenses and dropped off or mailed to PO Box 936, Hallstead, PA 18822.
