Izaahk “Ike” Thomas Kruft, 19, of Platte, SD, died November 10th 2024 in St. Cloud MN. Ike was born to Celeste Wilson (Grussing) and Richard Kruft on April 5, 2005, in Park Rapids, MN. Ike moved to Geddes, SD, in 2010 and went to Platte-Geddes elementary and high school. During high school, Ike worked at the local hotel as a housekeeper, making sure each and every room was perfect to a T for the next guest. Ike attended Mitchell Technical Institute for a semester following his high school graduation, but decided it was not for him. He moved in with his grandparents and attended “grandma’s finishing school” as he worked to identify his next steps. He was currently excited to begin his new career as a mailman, because it meant more time to drive around.
Izaahk enjoyed the little time he had with his dad. They would spend time welding, fishing, and hunting. Ike was a loving brother to 4 siblings. As a baby, his older sister Kyelee would frequently pick him up and spin him around, calling him her “baby wrecking ball.” He could frequently be found playing video games with his brothers, Tahlen and Zach. He loved taking his little sister, Kaytlin for rides around town. If it had wheels, he and Kate were on it. He also had his best friend Wyatt, who was more like a brother and part of the family, making them known as Wyzahhk to those closest to him. They would spend time driving around the dirt roads listening to music. Ike was a lover of animals, having several dogs and cats throughout his life. His favorite was his cat named Howard, whom he found and brought back home after he had run away. Ike enjoyed swimming at the river, taking things apart and putting them back together again, learning how things work, anything that involved science or magic, and don’t forget his love for lasagna, spaghetti and salad. Ike had a soft soul and gentle heart. He will forever be loved and missed by everyone he knew.
Izaahk is survived by his mother Celeste Wilson, of Platte, SD; father Richard Kruft, of Hubbard, MN; siblings, Kyelee Wilson (Minneapolis, MN), Tahlen Wilson (Platte, SD), Zachariah (Zach) Kruft (Sebeka, MN), and Kaytlin Kruft (Platte, SD); grandparents, Paula and Willie Wevley (Menahga, MN), Karen Kruft (Park Rapids, MN), Terry Kruft (Hubbard, MN); Aunt Talana, Uncle Tharen, Uncle Tom; and cousins Austin, Kairah, and Kayla; as well as extended family, and friends.
