J. Briones Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carrillo Funeral Homes - Dallas on Mar. 6, 2026.

J. Jesús Olivares Briones was born on January 15, 1972, in Jalisco, Mexico, to Francisco Olivarez and Micaela Briones. He passed away on March 1, 2026, at his residence in Mesquite, Texas.

Jesús was known for his warm heart and vibrant personality. He had a charismatic spirit and an easy way of making friends with everyone he met. Those who knew him will always remember his sense of humor, his kindness, and the joy he brought to those around him.

He was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan who enjoyed watching football games. In his free time, he loved fishing, going to the movies, listening to music-especially Mexican music-and working with cars, which was one of his greatest passions. Jesús also loved sharing a good meal with family and friends. His favorite food was steak, though he truly appreciated anything that was served to him.

Jesus often spoke about one of his greatest dreams-building a home on the land he owned so his children would always have a place rooted in family, love, and togetherness. Though the dream remains unfinished, it stands as a reflection of the care and hopes he carried for his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Olivarez and Micaela Briones; sister, Blanca Olivares.

Jesús is survived by Rosa Venegas the mother of his children; his sons, Iván Olivares and Julián Olivares; his daughters, Ashley Olivares, Stephanie Olivares, and Ximena Olivares; his brothers, Javier Olivares, Abel Olivares, and Hugo Olivares; and his sisters, Paz Olivares and Mayte Olivares.

Jesús will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May he rest in peace.
