Mr. Broaddus was a well-known and well-respected client in the sales/planning department of then Hyatt House - Richmond. As a sales manager, I worked with him in the planning of events for various organizations. Always the kindest of gentleman, he was a pleasure to serve. I will long remember him. Deepest sympathy to his beloved Family. Joy Nero Fitchpatrick

Al was a wonderful, good-hearted person.
He always gave everyone the feeling of Brotherly/Sisterly Love (philia), as Christ taught us in John 13:34.
I first knew Al, when we were younger than teenagers, and we both lived near TJ High School. Also, we enjoyed times with each other, when we were much older and ran together, in races.
May God continue to Bless Al in Heaven.

Al Broaddus was the finest man I have ever known! He was kind, funny, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and treated his employees with respect. I was lucky to be able to work for three wonderful presidents at the Federal Reserve Bank and Mr. Broaddus was the best. He will be missed so very much, sending thoughts and prayers to his family, God Bless.

My sincerest condolences to the Broaddus family and friends. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Broaddus years ago while he was with the Federal Reserve. He commissioned a wooden chest from me for his home. He was such a sweet, kind person who I have never forgotten. Again, my sincerest condolences. Janet L. Ziolkowski

Al and I joined the Research Department at the Richmond Fed within months of each other in the summer of 1970. By 1972 everyone at the Fed knew who the next director of Research would be as well the future president: Al Broaddus.
