J-Lin Mason Perank

J-Lin Mason Perank, age 22, of Vernal, passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2025, from undiagnosed cancer that had spread throughout his body.

He was born January 30, 2003, in Roosevelt, to Troy Perank and Christalyn Serawop.

Due to his autism, schedule and stability were of major importance in his life. He was a gamer, a YouTuber, enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and watching movies with his friends. He liked to attend Comic-Con, watch anime, take road trips, and loved to eat Chinese food. He was caring, selfless, made sure others were taken care of, and took his stuffed Plushies with him everywhere. He had a passion for music, especially Rave genre, and really liked classic cars – attending as many car shows as possible. His happy personality will be deeply missed.

J-Lin is survived by his parents, Troy (Requel) Perank, of Maeser; Christalyn Serawop (Ivan Leon), Vernal; grandfather, Clyde Moore, Ogden; a sister, Aiyana Serawop (Triceson Duncan); niece, Liylena Duncan; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph & Ruth Serawop, and Jolene Perank Wyasket.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Community Building. He will be taken for a wake on Saturday after 3:00 p.m. to his grandmother, Orlanna Taveapont’s, home in the Richardson Subdivision.

Burial will be in the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery.
