Shelly “Belle” Walker, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at her home.
Shelly was born January 13, 1964, in Payson, Utah, to Doug Harrington and Flora Jackman Harrington. She grew up in Utah and graduated from Payson High School. She also attended Dixie State College and received her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene.
On August 20, 1988, she married Jody Walker in St. George, Utah. After a short time living in California, Shelly and Jody moved to Southern Utah to raise their family. It was there that Shelly worked as a dental hygienist and orthodontic assistant for almost 15 years.
Shelly loved the outdoors and everything mother nature had to offer. Shelly loved being in the kitchen. She was passionate about baking, cooking, and exploring new recipes. Shelly was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and would attend the temple whenever she had the chance. Above all else, Shelly loved spending time with her family, dancing, playing games, laughing, and being silly.
Shelly is survived by her husband, Jody Walker of Ammon, ID; parents, Doug and Flora Harrington; daughter, Mindy (Steve) Cummings of Ammon, ID; son, Derek (Christina) Walker of Lupburg, Germany; son, Joshua (Nikita) Walker of Salem, OR; sister, Wendy Sackman of Payson, UT; sister, Valerie Stallings of Payson, UT; sister, Debbie Brook of Santaquin, UT; brother, Leon Harrington of Craig, CO; brother, Jared Harrington of Craig, CO; sister, Mattie Wirth of St. George, UT; brother, Evan Harrington of Vernal, UT; and 7 grandchildren, Brianna, Kaysen, Lola, Hazel, Beckham, Charlie, and Ruby.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Teton and Golden Jackman.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Villas Ward, 2200 Stafford Drive. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Burton Cemetery.
