Ja'Ronnie Lashaun "Jay" Charlton

On August 24, 1997, Ja'Ronnie "Jay" Lashaun Charlton was born to Robin Madonna Hunter and the late James Frank Lashaun Charlton in Louisville, KY. Jay's life was taken on December 10, 2022, at 3:36 pm at the age of 25.
Jay was preceded in death by his father, James Charlton, grandfather, Howard Lewis, great-grandparents, Robert and Mary "Nannie" Hunter.
Ja'Ronnie was educated in the JCPS System. He worked in production, but his passion was music. He created music with his cousin Janae and others. He was an entrepreneur, who knew business. He was excited about his future. Ja'Ronnie had big dreams of investing in the business industry. He talked about his goals and was ready to get them started.
Jay was loved by many. He was the first grandchild on his mother's side. And it showed he was very spoiled. He was a positive person who always had a smile on his face. He was a protector of his mother, grandmothers, and siblings. He had a big heart, and he was a stand-up guy. When he loved, he loved.
Jay enjoyed sports. He loved to eat. He especially enjoyed his mother and grandmother's food.
Ja'Ronnie was everything to his mother and family. He brought so much joy to us. He was funny and kept us laughing.
When Jay was taken from us Saturday, a piece of our hearts was taken also. We will never recover from this loss. The hurt knowing, he will never come through the doors is devastating.
Ja'Ronnie is survived by his mother, Robin Dobbins and bonus father, Tyrone Dobbins, Sr., his sisters A'Nya Parker and A'Lonnie Hunter, brothers, Tyrone Dobbins, Jr. and Steven Thompsons, Jr., and several other siblings, his grandmothers, Bernadette (Wesley) Ballard, Jamesetta Charlton, bonus grandmother, Patricia (George) Dobbins-Payne, several aunts and uncles, great-uncles, great-aunts, a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
