Jacinto Rodriguez Marquez, a devout Catholic, dedicated family man, and master of many trades, was called home to the Lord on August 6, 2025, at the age of 58. He was born in Meoqui, Chihuahua August 11, 1966 the son of Jose Isabel and Maria Isabel (Marquez) Rodriguez. He met the love of his life Velia Lerma in Chihuahua, Mexico and they were married in 1993. She survives.
Mr. Rodriguez Marquez grew up and attended schools in Mexico and settled in Garden City in the early 1980's. As a youngster he knew his talents were better spent on the work of the world and not in a classroom. With hands skilled in the art of mechanics, Jacinto could turn his talents to any task. Jacinto's faith was the cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life's trials and triumph. A man of many interests, Jacinto's zest for life was contagious. He found joy in the simple pleasures of singing, dancing, and cooking out (with numerous distractions). His sense of humor was only surpassed by his faith in God and love of family.
In addition to his Wife-Velia Rodriguez, he is survived by his Children- Ivette Guadalupe (Gonzalo) Gutierrez, Evelyn Rodriguez-Lerma, Maria Celeste (Kieran Laking) Rodriguez, and Joel Jacinto Rodriguez; Grandchildren-Ailyn Guadalupe Gutierrez, Daniel Gonzalo Gutierrez Damian Isaac Gutierrez & Siblings-Adelaida, Abundia, Felipa, Maria, Priciliana, Clara, Mercedes, Diego, Filiberto, Cresencio, Juan Jose, Cleotilde and Braulio Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his Parents & Brother-Everisto Rodriguez
Visitation will be held 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Tuesday August 12, 2025 at Garnand Funeral Home followed by a 6:00 pm Rosary at St Mary Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Wednesday August 13, 2025 also at St Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Jacinto Rodríguez Márquez, un católico devoto, un hombre de familia dedicado y experto en múltiples oficios, recibió el llamado del Señor el 6 de agosto de 2025, a la edad de 58 años. Nació en Meoqui, Chihuahua, el 11 de agosto de 1966, hijo de José Isabel y María Isabel (Márquez) Rodríguez. Conoció al amor de su vida, Velia Lerma, en Chihuahua, México, y se casaron en 1993. Ella sobrevive.
El Sr. Rodríguez Márquez creció y asistió a escuelas en México, estableciéndose en Garden City a principios de la década de 1980. De joven, sabía que sus talentos se empleaban mejor en el trabajo del mundo y no en un aula. Con manos expertas en el arte de la mecánica, Jacinto podía aplicar su talento a cualquier tarea. La fe de Jacinto fue la piedra angular de su existencia, guiándolo a través de las pruebas y el triunfo de la vida. Hombre de múltiples intereses, el entusiasmo por la vida de Jacinto era contagioso. Encontraba alegría en los sencillos placeres de cantar, bailar y cocinar al aire libre (con numerosas distracciones). Su sentido del humor solo era superado por su fe en Dios y el amor a su familia.
Además de su esposa, Velia Rodríguez, le sobreviven sus hijos: Ivette Guadalupe (Gonzalo) Gutiérrez, Evelyn Rodríguez-Lerma, María Celeste (Kieran Laking) Rodríguez y Joel Jacinto Rodríguez; Nietos-Ailyn Guadalupe Gutiérrez, Daniel Gonzalo Gutiérrez Damián Isaac Gutiérrez y hermanos-Adelaida, Abundia, Felipa, María, Priciliana, Clara, Mercedes, Diego, Filiberto, Cresencio, Juan José, Cleotilde y Braulio Rodríguez. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y su hermano, Everist Rodríguez.
El velorio se llevará a cabo de 11:00 am a 3:00 pm el martes 12 de agosto de 2025 en Garnand Funeral Home, seguido de un Rosario a las 6:00 pm en la Iglesia Católica St Mary. La misa funeral se celebrará a las 10:00 a. m. del miércoles 13 de agosto de 2025, también en la Iglesia Católica de Santa María, oficiada por el reverendo Jacob Schneider. El entierro se realizará posteriormente en Sunset Memorial Gardens.
