Loving father of Christine, Gregory (Christy) and Brian (Krissy).
Brother of Marie Thibaut and Michael Aliotta (Ann).
Loving Grandfather ("Papa") of Santana (Tim), Jack, Sydney, Tyler, Brent, Gregory II (Helena), Kailey, Emma, Melissa, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Lucas, Aidan (preceded in death), Troy, and Max.
Great grandfather of Lenny, Leni, Violet, and Lillith.
Army officer (Captain), Vietnam veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star. After the Army, he joined the Detroit Police Department where he met many lifelong friends and was the recipient of the Spirit of Detroit award. After retiring from the DPD, Jack went into the private sector where he owned and operated multiple businesses in the private investigations, security, and transportation service sectors. He was an amazingly hard worker and provider for his family that was always put first.
Jack was a high-spirited man of God, always reaching out to help others. He was loved and respected by all and leaves behind great memories for all those that he touched. Jack's biggest accomplishment was the love he had for his family, whom he adored. We will always carry that love in our hearts.
Visitation Monday July 24, 3:00pm-9:00pm and Tuesday July 25, 9:00am until the time of the funeral service at 10:30am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (SHELBY TOWNSHIP). Burial Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "Gift of Life" in Jack's name. Share memories with the family at their "On Line Guest Book" @ WujekCalcaterra.com
