Jack Baker

Eugene O. "Jack" Baker

Jack was born Nov. 2, 1937 in Conrad, Montana to Lois and Abe Baker. He attended school in Montana. He became a meat cutter by trade and working for several grocery chains.

Later he met and married Beryl Watterud and to their union was born 5 children. Laurel, Jeff, Lana, Paula, and Carmen. After 20 years of marriage, they divorced.

Later Jack would become the Executive Director of Racing in Idaho. He dearly loved the horse racing industry. It was during this time he met Betty Lupton. They were married in 2000 on a private island on Payette Lake in McCall, ID. Betty brought 5 children to their union. Jack and Betty really clicked and had a marvelous marriage for 25 years. Jack began getting ill in 2024 and was placed on hospice care. Betty cared for him at home but finally had to place him in a private care home. He passed just 2 days later.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother Glen; stepson Jeff Lupton, and a special nephew, Chad Baker.

He is survived by his 5 children, Betty's children; Jim Lupton, Traci Larson, Jon Lupton, and Kelly Lupton; his brother Gerald Baker, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

I Love you Babe and will see you again one day.

A memorial service will be held December 8, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel in Nampa, ID.
