IVESDALE - Jack E. Beebe, 82, of Bondurant, Iowa, formerly of Ivesdale, passed away peacefully with family by his side at 5:31 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 9, 2025) at his daughter's home in Altoona, Iowa.
Jack was born on Dec. 27, 1942, in Monticello, to Carl and Juanita (Marquiss) Beebe. On May 31, 1975, he married Kathleen Humphrey in Mahomet, and together they shared 50 wonderful years.
He was a proud father to David, Shane, Chad, Jackie (Rick) and Carrie (Corey); a beloved grandfather to Josh, Dalton, Dallas, Ryan, Owen, Kayla, Kelsey and Caitlyn; and a cherished great-grandfather. He is also survived by his brothers, Gene and Mike.
Jack worked many years as a truck driver and part-time farmer before retiring, but his love for farming kept him active in the fields. He found joy in camping, collecting tractors and traveling to tractor shows. When he wasn't on the road or at a show, Jack could often be found in his garage, making tractor parts or tinkering with his collection.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chad; brother, Danny Beebe; sisters, Judy Arbuckle and Janet Holborow; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Services will be held at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello. Visitation will take place Monday, Sept. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m., with the funeral service on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. Following the service, the family will lay Jack to rest in a private burial. Honoring Jack's wishes, the family invites everyone to dress comfortably - jeans or casual attire are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Condolences may be sent to the family at mackey-wrightfuneralhome.com.
