Jack William Bickley

Jack was born in Orange, Texas to William Pierce and Lena Bell Murphy Bickley. He was a lifelong member of Gresham Baptist Church. Jack was a field Superintendent for Parkhill Pipe Services from 1964-1995 before he started Bickley Enterprises in Gresham, Texas. He had a love for fishing with his friends and family on the Trinity River. To many he was the most loyal friend you could always count on. To more than a few,he was simply the best man they had ever known, their Hero.

Jack was preceded in death by his siblings Bobby Jean Fears and Yvonne Bickley, nephew Matthew Dean Bickley, beloved wife Judy Bickley and former wife Patricia Pratt Bickley. He is survived by his only daughter "Booper" LeighAnn Yates and grandsons Brewster Laurence Yates Jr. and Pierce Arthur Yates of Flintstone, Ga. They adored their Papa Jack, who taught them how to work hard and fix most anything. His loving stepchildren Micheal Eugene Wickman, wife Amanda, children Lorelei and Rosalie. Jennifer Lee Wickman and children Chelsie, Bobbie Sue and Halie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the person on the side of the road that needs help, or the man in a boat who needs a tow. Simply pay kindness forward as Jack did.

There will always be a void in our hearts without him, and he will be deeply missed by everyone that loved him.

A graveside service will be held at Flint Cemetery on Sunday, September 28th at 10:30 am with Reverend Mickey Ellis officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Grove, Tyler, Texas at 11:30 am.
