Birch Run, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on November 08, 2023. Age 70 years.

Jack was born on March 14, 1953, in Saginaw, MI to the late Jack W. and Henrietta (Smith) Birdsall. He married Barbara Kohlhoff on August 16, 1997; she survives him. Jack will be remembered for playing Santa Claus for several years. He spread Christmas cheer as Santa Claus at many different family events and could also be found at the Birch Run Gazebo, Masonic Temple, Clio Eagles, and was even at the Fort Saginaw Mall in the 60s.

Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara Birdsall, a son, Anthony (Kristie) Birdsall, two stepsons: Earnest Ostrom Jr. and Anthony (Brenda) Ostrom; three grandchildren, one great-grandbaby, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, and a sister.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 13, 2023, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Hwy, Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Michael McCluskey will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 2:00 - 8:00 pm, as well as on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
