Jack L. “Sandy” Brimer, age 75 of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was born, on March 29, 1950, the son of the late Donald T. and Kathleen (Strange) Brimer. He was a lifelong resident of Dandridge and was a graduate of Maury High School. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Marines and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. After proudly serving his country, he returned home and started working as a lineman and eventually began his 32-year career with Bellsouth and AT&T where he retired as a supervisor. He enjoyed spending time with his family that he loved dearly and always looked forward to the next gathering. He loved his lord and was a member of the Chestnut Grove Church. Sandy was an avid golfer and sportsman and enjoyed community activities such as playing softball at the old Maury field, July 4th celebration trying to catch the greasy pig and the mischief of the annual Halloween festivities. He enjoyed farming and loved caring for his animals and tending to his cattle, horses, dogs, and also goats. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Eugene Brimer; brother-in-law, Jack Churchman; and nephew, Todd Churchman. He leaves to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Nina (Hill) Brimer; daughter, Lisa (Tony) Walker; son, Steve (Tatiana) Chambers; brother, John David “Buster” Brimer and his wife Virginia Dale (Davis) Brimer; sister, Linda Sue Churchman; special first cousins who where like brother and sister, John D. Townsend, Jr and his wife Gayle and their children, Carole and Jason Ensley and Hayley (Townsend) Driver “sister”, Linda Gail Townsend Hogsten and her children, Eddie, Tisha and Teresa Lynn Hogsten; nephew, Jonathan Isaiah Brimer and his wife Inge and their daughter Stella Rose Brimer; nieces, Christen Elizabeth Brimer, Peggy (Brimer) Sise and her husband, Joey and their children, John Thomas, Erin and Jessica Sise and Teresa (Churchman) Jurek and her husband Dan and their children, Darren and Zachary Reese and Bryson Jurek; grandkids, Dustin (Anna) Lewis, Daniel Lewis, David Walker, Eric (Tara) Chambers, Jessica, Sergey and Sofia Chambers; Great-grandchildren, Alexia Lewis, Gavin and Kristen Chambers and Oakley Mae. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial gifts be made to your favorite charity in memory of Jack L. “Sandy” Brimer. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, February 5th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with funeral services to follow at Farrar Funeral Chapel at 7:00pm. with Rev. Jeff Hancock and Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating. Graveside interment services with military honors will be held Friday, February 6th, 2026, at 2:00pm in Resthaven Memorial Gardens cemetery.
