Beulah M. “Mickie” Brimer, 85, of Albany, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, at The Willson Hospice House. Private memorial services will be held by the family.
Mickie was born on January 4, 1941, in Colquitt County, GA, to the late Oscar and Theris Minix. While still young, she moved with her family to Albany, a place she would call home for the rest of her life. It was there that she met the love of her life, Donald Ray Brimer, and together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family.
Above all else, Mickie was devoted to her family. She took great pride in being a mother and homemaker, creating a home filled with care, warmth, and quiet strength. In her younger years, she also worked outside the home with Guys and Dolls and Weeks Textile, always willing to do what was needed for those she loved. She loved her daily walks and she would constantly be looking after someone else’s well being.
Mickie loved her Lord deeply and lived her life with humility and grace. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and a current member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, where her faith continued to guide and comfort her.
She leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her children, Teresa (Tim) Stanton and Kim (Mike) Calhoun, all of Lee County, GA, and David (Gail) Brimer of Whitestown, IN; her sister, Eula Denning of Albany, GA; five grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. Mickie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions in memory of Mickie to The Willson Hospice House, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, GA 31707.
