Guest Book
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Genevieve Catholic Church on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. for Jack Domingue, 89, who passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Father Brian Taylor, Pastor at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will officiate the ceremony. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Jeanette Domingue; five children, Lisa Miller (Patrick), Myra Domingue, Bryan Domingue (Michelle), Kirk Domingue (Ronda), and Darin Domingue (Sheli); ten grandchildren, Nicholas Domingue, Daniel Miller, Adam Miller, Matthew Domingue (Jessie), Carmen Stansbury (Stephen), Luke Domingue, Logan Domingue, Katelyn Williams (Nolan), Hannah Holt (David), and Jack Thomas Domingue; and ten great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anna Verret Domingue and Valrie Domingue, Sr.; three brothers, William “Tee” Domingue, Robley “Shine” Domingue, and Valrie Domingue, Jr.; and two sisters, Lucille Hebert and Leora Fuselier.
Jack was a Veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He was a die-hard fan of UL Ragin’ Cajun Athletics, and in his free time he enjoyed woodworking, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Domingue, Matthew Domingue, Daniel Miller, Adam Miller, Luke Domingue, and Logan Domingue. Honorary pallbearers are Bryan Domingue, Kirk Domingue, Darin Domingue, Patrick Miller, and Stephen Stansbury.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana, Dr. Bradley Chastant, and Dr. Philippe Prouet and the Staff of the Cancer Center of Acadiana.
